Why brine? So you don’t have dry turkey that’s why! Brining locks in the moisture that often seeps out during the cooking process. Making a brine is easy. Just fill a large cooler or basin with water. Add salt, herbs and Super Tonic to the water. Basically anything you use to season your turkey. I use thyme, lemon and peppercorns. But don’t forget the Super Tonic. It will take the flavor up a notch! Lower in your turkey and let it marinate overnight. Make sure to keep it refrigerated.

Savannah Bee Company gave an amazing homemade recipe for Italian Ice using their delicious Orange Blossom Honey. With just a few ingredients you can enjoy this treat in your own home!
2 cups of water
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of orange juice
2 tbs of Orange Blossom Honey
A spritz of lemon juice
Optional: Orange zest
Boil sugar and water for about 5 minutes and let it cool. Stir in orange juice, Orange Blossom Honey, a little lemon juice, and optional orange zest. Put it into the freezer and stir roughly every half hour. Once it gets to snow cone like consistency, let it freeze overnight. Serve with a drizzle of Orange Blossom Honey and garnish of your choice.
Savannah Bee Company in conjunction with Kristen Chapple came up with some delicious summer dishes that you can cook with honey. Tzimmes is a great Jewish vegetarian dish that is made using sweet root veggies.
Salt & Pepper
3 tsp orange juice
1 lb parsnips
1 lb carrots
1.5 lbs yellow beets
2 lbs yams
2 tsp orange zest
1/2 cup Orange Blossom Honey
6 tsp virgin olive oil
Step 1: Place 2 racks in your oven. Then preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Cut your veggies into 1.5 inch chunks. Add them to two baking sheets with paper foils.
Step 2: Whisk together grated orange zest, orange blossom honey, orange juice, and olive oil in bowl. Place the veggies into a bowl and add the honey mixture. Mix well until the veggies are evenly coated.
Step 3: Place the veggies evenly on the cookie sheets making sure you leave some spaces between them. Sprinkle them lightly with black pepper and salt before covering them with a layer of foil and inserting them in the oven. Allow them to cook for about 35 minutes. Halfway through the cooking process, you can stir the veggies and even replace the baking sheets on the racks.
Step 4: After 35 minutes, you can uncover them and stir the veggies before returning them to the oven for about 15 minutes. Once they are ready, you can serve them warm and season them with pepper and salt to your liking.
This mucilage rich herb can be therapeutic and soothing in many areas such as inflammatory bowel disease, cough and sore throat, irritation of the urinary tract, heartburn and GERD.
For tea, pour 2 cups of boiling water over roughly 2 tablespoons of the (fine) powder and steep for a few minutes. To make a poultice (for applying to the skin), mix (course) powder with boiling water and let cool. Apply the poultice to the affected area.
